GRAPHIC ANNUNCIATOR SPECIFICATION

Graphic Method GP-2
 
The annunciator enclosure shall be constructed of cold rolled steel with welded and ground seams for a finished appearance. The backbox shall be finished with a black powder coating. The annunciator door shall have a concealed piano hinge and shall be finished in a black powder coating, or stainless steel as directed by the engineer. The door shall be secured by a key lock with no other fasteners visible. All switches shall be mounted in the door trim.

The display panel shall be a white image on gray (appears black) acrylic. The Led wiring shall be neatly harnessed to designated terminal blocks located in the annunciator backbox. A clear front pane shall render the image tamperproof. The LEDs are not visible until illuminated. The manufacturer shall submit drawings for approval prior to fabrication. The annunciator shall be Underwriters Laboratories listed. The annunciator shall be manufactured by the H.R. Kirkland Co. or approved equal.

The annunciator enclosure shall be constructed of cold rolled steel with welded and ground seams for a finished appearance. The backbox shall be finished with a black powder coating. The annunciator door shall have a concealed piano hinge and shall be finished in a black powder coating, or stainless steel as directed by the engineer. The display panel shall be a full color acrylic laminate designed for LEDs only. The lamination shall consist of a UV coating, followed by a full color image and then a 1/8" acrylic backing. The Led wiring shall be neatly harnessed to designated terminal blocks located in the annunciator backbox. The LEDs shall protrude through the acrylic, making the LEDs visible at all times. A clear front pane shall render the LEDs and the image tamperproof. The manufacturer shall submit drawings for approval prior to fabrication. The graphic annunciator shall be Underwriters Laboratories listed. The annunciator shall be manufactured by the H.R. Kirkland Co. or approved equal.

The annunciator shall be Underwriters Laboratories listed. The annunciator shall be manufactured by the H.R. Kirkland Co. or approved equal.

Graphic Method GP-5

The display shall consist of reversed printed polycarbonate lexan laminated to aluminum, with a full color image. The zone annunciation shall be backlighted areas utilizing incandescent lamps. The illuminated and non-illuminated areas shall have the same appearance when in a normal condition. The lamp wiring shall be neatly harnessed to designated terminal blocks located in the annunciator backbox. The manufacturer shall submit drawings for approval prior to fabrication. The annunciator shall be manufactured by the H.R. Kirkland Co., or approved equal.

BACKLIGHTED WINDOW ANNUNCIATOR SPECIFICATION

The annunciator enclosure shall be constructed of cold rolled steel with welded and ground seams for a finished appearance. The backbox shall be finished with a black powder coating. The annunciator door shall have a concealed stainless steel piano hinge and shall be finished in a black powder coating or stainless steel as directed by the engineer. The door shall be secured by a key lock with no other fastener visible.

The annunciator will have dual lamps per zone and black nomenclature on a white background. The lamp wiring shall be neatly harnessed to designated terminal blocks located in the annunciator backbox. The annunciator shall be manufactured by the H.R. Kirkland Company or an approved equal.

EXTERIOR ANNUNCIATOR SPECIFICATION

The annunciator enclosure shall be constructed of cold rolled steel with welded and ground seams and finished with an exterior powder paint The door shall be constructed of brushed stainless steel with a concealed stainless steel hinge. The door will have a gasketed minimum 3/16" polycarbonate viewing pane. A minimum of (5) stainless steel screws shall fasten the door against the box gasket. Tamperproof head screws shall be used where required. Ventilation of the interior must be provided.

The display shall be silkscreened on an anodized aluminum face with UV protection paints. Alarm LEDs shall have a brightness minimum of 600mcd. and be visible in full sunlight.

Where required, a Nema 4 key operated Lamptest Switch shall be provided.

The annunciator shall be UL listed and CSFM listed (in California).

These listings shall be for a complete annunciator unit.

The annunciator shall be manufactured by the H.R. Kirkland Company, Inc.

GRAPHIC MAP SPECIFICATION

Interior Graphic Map

The graphic map shall be a full color image printed on the reverse side of a 10 mil. Polycarbonate Lexan. The standard background is white, with other colors available upon request. The printed image is laminated to a 1/8" rigid backing with a removable adhesive for future replacement. The graphic map shall be secured in a black (standard) anodized aluminum frame and mounted with a concealed security hanging system to prevent any unauthorized removal. The location of the FACP, main graphic map and other graphic maps shall be shown in red with "YOU ARE HERE" printed in red. Detection devices, nomenclature, building detail shall be color coded as specified by the engineer. The graphic map shall be manufactured by the H. R. Kirkland Co. or approved equal.

Exterior Graphic Map

The graphic map shall be a black screened printed image on 1/8" clear anodized aluminum, or optional 16 gauge stainless steel. The graphic display can also include colors. The location of the FACP, main graphic map and other graphic maps shall be shown in red with "YOU ARE HERE" printed in red. The graphic map is designed to be screw held to a exterior wall. The graphic map shall have four .25" dia. holes, one in each corner, for mounting. The graphic map shall be manufactured by the H. R. Kirkland Co. or approved equal.

FSCS ANNUNCIATOR SPECIFICATION

FIRE FIGHTERS' SMOKE CONTROL STATION SPECIFICATION

The FSCS panel shall be UUKL listed and conform to NFPA-92A guidelines.

The enclosure shall be constructed of cold rolled steel with welded and ground seams and finished with a black powder textured finish. The annunciator door shall have a concealed stainless steel piano hinge and the door shall be finished with a black powder textured finish or brushed stainless steel as directed by the engineer. The door shall be fastened with a key lock with no other fasteners visible.

The graphic display shall consist of a lamination of an aluminum substrate with a reverse printed polycarbonate overlay. The graphic must have full color capacity to show different colors for supply, exhaust, and pressurization. A velvet texture finish must be applied to the polycarbonate face to eliminate glare.

LEDs shall protrude through the laminate for 180 degrees visibility. They shall be wired to designated terminals for interface with customer's remote controllers.

AHU Switches must be UL recognized components with a minimum rating of 24 VDC/AC, 1amp. They shall be wired to designated terminals for interface with customer's remote controllers.

The panel must include a Key Enable Switch and a Lamptest Switch.

REMOTE ALARM INDICATOR SPECIFICATION

Remote Alarm Indicator

The remote alarm indicator shall consist of a red encapsulated LED mounted on a stainless steel single gang switchplate labeled "Remote Alarm Indicator". The unit will operate at 24VDC. The remote alarm indicator shall be Underwriters Laboratories listed and manufactured by the H.R. Kirkland Co. or approved equal.

OPTIONS SPECIFICATION

Lamp Test :
A Lamp Test switch shall be provided to test the annunciator lamps.

Common Trouble :
A Common Trouble circuit consisting of a trouble indicator, audible device and silence switch shall be provided.

Audible Alert :
An audible circuit shall be provided to sound an audible device when an alarm is initiated. Subsequent alarm points will not sound the audible device unless the first input is reset.

Power On Light :
An indicating light labeled "Power On" shall be provided to indicate power is being supplied to the annunciator.

Stainless Steel Door :
The annunciator door shall be fabricated of stainless steel.
